Mediocre food, terrible service. Such a disappointment since in the past it was always a pleasure.

Great restaurant for date night. Unique food for the area and they were very knowledgeable for my gluten free allergy. We will be back VERY soon.

We started with oysters. The prices on them were amazing and they were super fresh, flavorful, and salty. I was almost offended that my girlfriend was eating them on saltines. The caesar salad with my meal was probably the low point of my meal and it was still better than 90% of the salads I've had in my life. The catch of the day was great, and my girlfriend loved the redfish she had. Dessert was cheesecake with key lime curd, and it was a great size to share after the feast we enjoyed. I rarely enjoy a restaurant as much as I did at the owl cafe.

We met family here and found it a very nice, comfortable atmosphere. Lots of stairs. Service was prompt and friendly. Food was good.

The quiet ambiance, attentive staff, delicious food from crab dip appetizer through the entree was a very enjoyable experience. Also one we will repeat every time we get a chance.

We were in Apalachicola for part of the day with friends and they had reservations at The Owl Cafe. We were seated and Hannah was our server. She was available for anything we needed and provided a great atmosphere for our dinner. Her suggestions were great. She even made the extra effort and came down the stairs with my left overs box! She's a gem!

Nice go to place in Apalach. We’ve been happy with the food and service every time we go. The Meatballs on penne pasta are delish. The fish of the day never disappoints. Salads super fresh. Take some time to sit outside and have some tasty food.

Typical tourist destination. Disappointing since I was craving their crab dip and it has no flavor. No crab meat or cheese flavor at all. This always used to be my favorite thing to get here.

Amazing Food, All homemade, Saturday night Dinner and the Owner Susan is hands on. We eat here regularly, everything is fantastic with a unique twist. Gazpacho is over the top when its available. By far my favorite restaurant!

Food was good. We had their steak and the snapper. Mashed potatoes was spot on. Service was terrible. We thought it was just us but apparently the other tables in our section were being treated the same. Not really worth it for their price.

Another spot I've tested out in Apalachicola. Very unique restaurant. Has a very good vibe to it. The food was good. The service was good. The food portions were good. Would def return.

Excellent food! Great service! Waiter was very patient and funny too. Also, they donate 10% of orders to the Humane Society so you're helping animals too! Strongly Recommended!

I can appreciate the antique structure of the building & the history behind the name OWL CAFE. The food was exceptionally great! It doesn't taste like frozen, prepackaged, microwaved franchised food. This is the place I would recommend to family & friends.

Real cute place! Hubby had fish and chips and it was fantastic! Had I known that it would have been that good, I would have ordered one for me too....I got a salad which was fresh and good! Definitely a good stop on the road to Apalachicola!

I absolutely enjoyed our lunch here! Everyone was friendly and helpful, but not Hovery or pushy. The food was amazing! They also use paper straws and have a sign stating that 10% of their proceeds go to the local humane society! We'll definitely be dining here again :)

We had a reservation for 11 (when they open) and we had a large party of 12. I feel like they could have prepared better, such as having menus already collected for the reservation rather than collecting 12 as we all stood at the top of the stairs, and filling the water glasses before rather than after we sat down. I got the scrambled eggs with a bacon, potatoes, and a croissant (a biscuit would be better), and mimosa that they did not skimp on which I appreciate. Server was good and very accommodating. I asked if they had music, so they turned it on but it was not very loud. Overall, this place is good but could be great with minor changes.

We ate here several times. Service was great. Ambitious and interesting menu. Execution on a couple of items was not on par with the service, the venue, or the menu (e.g. well seasoned fresh vegetables were overcooked). Still, we had a great time and I will be back.

excellent food, great service. Grandmas chicken wrap is way better than you would expect a chicken wrap to ever be and the shrimp is fantastic. Couldn’t recommend it more.

Just ate here. Food was delicious. If I had great service I would have given a high rating. Our service was TERRIBLE. Our server had 2 tables. Our 2 top and a table of 12. Needless to say we didn't exist. Even after I told the staff member who brought our food. Would I go again..I'm not sure. Sometimes bad service ruins an experience.

2-2-20Very good! My wife and I had the half pound cheeseburger and it was amazing! Service was good but it took quite awhile for our food to come out. Nice clean bright atmosphere.

Stopped in for brunch on a Saturday. Nice atmosphere with very good service. Prices are reasonable and food selection okay. Specials sounded good but ended up with blackened grouper. Slightly over done but was fine. The owl martini was great. Definitely would come back.

Delicious brunch, the gator sausage Creole over grits was very flavorful and the blackened swordfish with bacon cilantro cream sauce was superb! The Owl Cafe is very accommodating for my dietary preferences and substituted their breakfast potatoes for grits - it was so Delicious!!! Jessie was a good server and took care of us even though they were quite busy.

Ate lunch at Owl Cafe about a week ago. The fish spread appetizer and chips were a great start. Had never heard of Triple Tail fish but it was the special and decided to try. Not a real fish lover except fried but this was delicious. Our waitress Meyl was amazing. Best service I’ve had in years. Will go back next time in the area!!

Amazing food. Everything is fresh and bursting with flavor. Service was friendly too.

I had an enjoyable experience. The Snapper and scallops came with vegetables. The vegetables looked very shabby. The staff remade the plate to my satisfaction. My meal was what I expected and very tasty. Thank you for making it right.

Quality fare, consistent in preparation. Excellent staff. Fairly priced. Yummy duck confit fries, delicately fried oysters and the chilled shrimp. All superb appetizers! $6 Bloody Mary's or Mimosas. Fantastic!

Service is fast and friendly. We didn't eat much, but the menu looked good. The Bees Keens drink is exactly that. Get one and enjoy!

Wonderful experience, was warned it was pricey but they are not much more than other area restaurants and are a cut above in several areas. Tried the soft shell crab for the first time ever, fantastic. Also had 1/2doz oysters on the half shell, I'm hooked, huge fresh oysters set a high bar for other places. Make reservations or be there at 5:30pm if you want to be seated quicker, very busy place, friendly, attentive staff. Can't wait to go back to Apalachicola.

Mediocre food and service. The cheeseburger was decent but the fries tasted like they came from a freezer bag. My husband thought the meat in the potato leek soup tasted off and wasn’t impressed with the pasta. The dining room does have a decent view overlooking downtown.

Really really good food. Huge portions. Starting with the fried shrimp: different than your typical batter, but still really yummy. Comes with fries.Meatballs on Penne: my favorite out of our dishes. The sauce is almost gravy-like, it’s so delicious. And the meatballs are soooo good.Duck Confit: This was killer, the sauce was great. But the fries to duck ratio was a bit off. This was a starter.Jambalaya: Not my favourite. Not really jambalaya, doesn’t have much rice. A LOT of tomatoes, tons of red sauce. Lots of meat in it though so it was still filling. Overall I would still go here. Food is delicious and quick, service is great. Our waitress handled an entire room on her own.

Blackened flounder with a Chipotle lobster cream sauce on cheesy grits, outstanding. Our server, Kay was a delight.

The steak was phenomenal! I am the oddball who doesn't like fish/seafood and I was tired of eating chicken fingers or hamburgers everywhere we went. We decided to splurge here and were not disappointed. Great atmosphere on the deck, wonderful service, and AMAZING food!

The atmosphere and location of this restaurant were both terrific. We opted to sit out on the deck which was very pleasant, but we didn't go just to sit on the deck. Unfortunately for roughly 20 minutes we waited on service, so beware. Upon receiving service our waitress was very nice, informative, and helpful. The food was also pretty good, wasn't that hot upon being received at the table, but it was good. Overall a pretty satisfied customer, but the service could have been a bit better.

Their deep fried softshelled bluecrab is insanely good.

We have dined here several times. Love the food, service and atmosphere.
